Jerry Comer MS’77 to be Honored with Orange and Green Award

Jerry Comer MS’77 will be honored with the Green and Orange Award for Alumni Service at the 2018 Awards Gala in March.

The award honors UTD graduates who have provided support and service to the University.

Comer, a retired engineer who earned a master’s degree in management, has made several gifts to the University, including more than 350 photographs that capture scenes of American life from the middle to late 20th century, and more than 300 books and periodicals relating to modern and contemporary art and photography.

His most recent gift was a series of 302 aviation-themed photographs titled “The Airplane as Art” by renowned photographer Bob Seidemann.

 
UT Dallas honors outstanding alumni and community leaders during the annual Awards Gala.

The 2018 gala will be held March 24 at the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center.
