#UTDgrad | What I’ll Remember Most About UT Dallas

It’s Commencement Week, which means nearly 4,500 Comets will transition from students to alumni.
As the spring semester draws to a close, we asked several seniors what they’ll remember most about their time at UT Dallas.

Historical Studies (and Archer Fellow)
“A campus experience that is dear to my heart is the philosophy club — The Philosopher’s Society. This organization helped me find new — and some lifelong — friends and discuss ‘big ideas’ with my peers. I also learned so many leadership skills from being an officer. Philosophy club allowed me to supplement my classes to do more of what I loved — philosophy!”

“Going to miss my sorority sisters the most. It has been so much fun putting on programs with them.”

“I’ve been able to meet people who have similar interests and goals as me all within a positive environment.”

“SUAAB does a great job of organizing concerts featuring different types of music genres. Working at Student Affairs Marketing gave me opportunities to take photos at some of these concerts and discover new artists during the process. My personal favorite was Coin at the Totally Awesome Concert of Springapalooza 2017. I got to meet the band members afterward, and I’ve seen them multiple times since!”

“Construction. It’s kind of a running joke at UTD to talk about it since it’s been going on for a while, but seeing the growth of UT Dallas has actually been really cool.”

“We are both health educators at the Student Wellness Center. We found our people there, and we all love spreading health awareness. Our favorite memory is when we both got to educate on the importance of health at a freshman seminar.”

“My first Silent Disco when I was a freshman is one of my favorite memories. It was a part of Welcome Week and it represented UTD well. It was nice to see how much everyone enjoyed themselves.”
