2018 Distinguished Alumnus: Charles Butler BS’91

Charles Butler BS’91 will be named a distinguished alumnus during this month’s UT Dallas Awards Gala.

He is founder and managing partner of Palomino Capital, an investment banking firm based in Dallas.

Butler graduated with a degree in business administration. He has maintained his ties to the University as a mentor to MBA students in the Naveen Jindal School of Management.

In 2017, Butler created the Palomino Capital Opportunity Fund for Entrepreneurship within UT Dallas’ Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Proceeds of the fund support IIE and Blackstone LaunchPad, enabling students, staff, faculty and alumni to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors. Butler also is an investor and participant in the UT Dallas Seed Fund.

The 2018 gala will be held March 24 at the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center.
